This is my favourite image from dark room as I left this for shortest amount of time and so the image is least developed, especially where I held the image out of the liquid. I love the way the eye is clouded out and the crinkles of the eye add an unforeseen texture from where the face was squashed against the glass. The ivy in the top left hand corner add a sense of water to the image, as well as the hair floating. It seems as though the person within the photo has drowned and is floating downstream, really reminding me of ‘Ophelia’ by John Everett Millais. I like the contrast between the highlights of the ivy and the shadows within the face, but equally it is pretty overwhelming and does take some depth from the photo which I don’t like.
